There are multiple ways that you could use this activity. I use it as a gallery walk and have 9 Confucius sayings posted throughout the room (print the slides). The students then read each saying and determine what they think it means - they write their meanings on the handout.
A great foldable for students. I used this is foldable for students to write names of scientific tools, then common units used when measuring with those tools.
This is a great interactive activity for students learning absolute location. I use this own activity in my classroom after we've discussed latitude and longitude and have practiced finding absolute locations on paper maps. My students love incorporating Google Earth and this also gives them the opportunity to travel around the world! Within this download you have access to the student worksheet & answer key, link to a customized Google Earth Project, and a teacher guide.
Bullying Prevention Month occurs in October. To place emphasis on this issue and to create more kindness in the world this bingo board can be used for students. It gives students chances to give kindness and bring light to the issue of bullying. *Downloading this file will give you your own copy that you can edit to your liking.
This packet is used for a 9 layer density tower demonstration. I use it with the "Amazing 9 Layer Density Tower" by Sick Science! A digital link to the video is on the first page of the packet. You can also do the demonstration in person by easily obtaining the materials mentioned in the video.
This is a great diagram for interactive notebooks. Students can cut out, glue, and label the diagram on the right side of their notebooks and place the descriptions on the left.
This can be great for differentiation too, depending on how you want to use it.
Easy to print poster for any classroom who uses Chromebooks. My school has a poster maker, so once printed I just scan through the machine, laminate, and hang on the wall.
Students create an interactive 'Choose Your Own Adventure' based project that reviews content of the rock cycle. Hyperlinks are used within Google Slides to navigate pathways through the rock cycle process and learn about the 3 types of rocks. Attached are the demonstration slides that you can use to show students or can be used as a starting template. All materials are your own copy & can be edited.
**CUSTOMIZABLE** This is a great end of the year activity! I usually have students working on projects at the end of the year, but some finish sooner than others and then are left with nothing and I hate to just to give them worksheet after worksheet to complete. So I made this activity - it contains both 6th grade review for the year and brain teaser, which makes it interesting and fun! This product will include Slides, which are 'Find It' images linked to review questions. I have also include
Comparing cell organelles to everyday things is a great way to help students understand the various functions of each organelle. This item allows students to find images of both the true organelle and its representation, as well they must explain themselves. This explanation allowed me, as a teacher, to see if students really understood the function of the organelles.
Start the day of right with a Good Morning slide! Let your students know what they should be doing, reminders of the day, and give them a little inspiration.
Give your students the opportunity to improve your teaching. This form is a great way to see how students felt about your class and give insight to ways to make it even better! I've used this form the last 3 years of my teaching and it always give me great feedback in what lessons I need to improve upon for the next year and how I can be a better teacher for my students. *In downloading this file, you will make your own copy of the form that can edited to your own personal preferences.
An easy grade tracker that students can use to track their grade for class.
I know many schools use online grade systems that parents and students can access, but I have come to find that many parents and/or students do not access these sites. This is a great way for students and parents to keep up with current class grades. I just have students keep this in their binder or class folder.
Periodically I even do a grade check, just to make sure students are keeping their tracker up to date.
This lesson includes a formative assessment, pre-test, and scientific drawing activity. The drawing activity has students working in groups. Each group is assigned a tectonic plate type and must draw an image. All images will then be connected together to show how tectonic plates will work together throughout the world.
Drawing rubric is included.
