Experience

I love to learn and help others learn too. I have taught K-12th grade students in addition to adults in a variety of settings. I have taught in a public school, colleges, PD workshop and other adult trainings. My experiences both in and out of the classroom have allowed me to teach numerous individuals and share my passion for learning. Teaching style

I am a visual and hands on learner myself. Because of this, I tend to create resources that aid students with similar learning styles. However, the majority of the resources I create can be differentiated very easily to accomidate for various learners. Typically I believe in providing students with little guidance and watching them struggle (constructively) to find a solution. I do believe that failure is a very important part of learning and a great skill to learn. I enjoy inquiry based learning and allowing students to express their individual ways of thinking.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was recognized as an "Outstanding Teacher" in NY State by the Commissioner of Agriculture, Richard Ball in 2019.

My own education history

I attended a small rural school where my love of agriculture and the farming community flourished. I attended a SUNY school following HS graduation and then attended Cornell University. I graduated with a Bachelors in Science, majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Education. I received my Masters in the Art of Teaching degree from Ithaca College in 2018.
