Oreo Commercial - Media Literacy
A fun media literacy activity that incorporates the theme song to the Oreo commercial. If the links expire or are no longer available, there are many other options on YouTube that you can find examples of the song's tune. Mustache Math Poster
I have come to realize that my students and those throughout the school really enjoy this 'mustache' trend. I was trying to think of a way that I can incorporate that mustache into my classroom to give the kids something to look forward to and something to laugh at. I use this poster (I blew it up) on my whiteboard corner with the 'math problem of the day' underneath. The kids were drawn to that corner and couldn't wait to solve the math problem!

I like to integrate creativity into my lessons as much as possible. My students work in an environment where they are encouraged to explore and create. I teach with a variety of methods and incorporate different learning styles within my lessons to meet differentiated instruction. My lessons are inquiry-based, hands-on activities, cooperative learning, and direct instruction. Lesson plans are interactive, student centered, and include strategies to engage all learners.
