My students HATE practicing their sight words…or at least they did! My students now climb their way through the Fry Mountains… and as they complete each mountain (set of 100 words), they earn FRENCH FRIES delivered to school!! Talk about motivation… Each mountain range is broken into 10 subsections (10 words) to make teaching/practicing sight words more manageable. The following cards are intended to make the Fry List of sight words more fun. Simply print these cards (2 sets), laminate and cut. The cards can then be used to play Go Fish, Memory, etc. The clipart is intended for the teacher’s ease of differentiating the list of words. Each set of 10 has a different clipart – this will also ensure students have to read the word rather than relying on pictures! The colors will hopefully help trigger their memory J
