Teaching style

I believe that every student is unique and fully capable of learning. Our job as teachers is to create a structured, loving environment where kids feel safe enough to take risks and grow in leaps and bounds, as well as take tiny steps and tumbles. Creating an environment and relationship that is inviting, comfortable, consistent, and communicative is essential to helping kiddos learn and grow. I love that we get the opportunity to provide that for students in a variety of ways each day through our classrooms, learning resources, curriculum choices, and personalities.

My own education history

I've been blessed to have experienced a full variety of educational opportunities in my lifetime. I attended private school from kinder through third grade, hopped over to a charter school from fourth through sixth grades, and then skipped myself back to my home to be homeschooled from seventh through high school. I went to a community college for my first two years of college and then transferred over to ASU to finish up my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
