Looking for a new game to practice German 2 vocabulary? My middle and high schoolers LOVE tangram puzzles. Print on cardstock, laminate, and cut out the cards. Working in groups of two or three, students match the word to the appropriate picture. Outside pieces are marked with a triangle. Five puzzles with vocabulary for birthday & gifts, city life vs. country life, health & wellness; food & grocery shopping, and travel. Each puzzle takes approximately 15 minutes for students to complete.
Originally created for use in an AP level German class, students assume the persona of a god, hero, or creature from Norse mythology and create a 21st century business plan. Students are required to create 1) a business name, logo, and slogan, 2) a tv commercial, 3) a newspaper ad, and 4) a short business plan.
