The Partners for Ten Song

Learning to make a ten is a big deal in the primary grades. We work toward fluency in this area all year long. If students know the number partners for ten, they can easily apply the make a ten strategy to solve other problems. This chant will help your kiddos remember what numbers add to make ten and will also give them a chance to get some of those wiggles out.

Teaching style

I firmly believe (despite the scary amount of standardized testing that is creeping down into the primary grades) that young children learn best through play. Because of this, I try to incorporate as many interactive hands-on activities as possible throughout the day. The products in my store reflect this. There may be some prep involved, but the kids in my class love playing the games and participating in the activities. They have FUN and LOVE LEARNING! :)
