I bring over a decade of experience in education, working with students across multiple grade levels in both classroom and informal learning environments. My background includes teaching core subjects, leading STEAM-based projects, and developing hands-on lessons that encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have a lifetime of art practice that deeply informs my approach to learning. As an artist and creative educator, I integrate visual arts, design thinking, and creative problem-solving into my lessons, helping students make connections across disciplines. I believe art is a powerful entry point for learning and a valuable tool for expression, exploration, and understanding.
Beyond the classroom, I am the founder and co-director of Mudpuppy Palace, a nature-based learning organization focused on experiential education through outdoor exploration and STEAM programming. I design and facilitate lessons for schools, homeschool groups, and community organizations, translating complex concepts into engaging, accessible activities. This blend of education, art, and real-world application shapes the resources I create—practical, flexible materials designed by a teacher who understands what works with real learners.
