My Teaching Philosophy I believe learning happens best when students feel: Safe Capable Supported In my classroom, participation and effort matter more than perfection. Lessons are structured, predictable, and calm. We work together. Mistakes are expected.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am a New York State certified teacher with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree and over two decades of experience in education, working across Pre-K through Grade 6 in a Title I school district. Throughout my career, I have taught and supported children in many roles, including: Classroom teacher (Grades 1 and 5) Educational Technology teacher (Pre-K–6) Teaching assistant (General Education, Special Education, Life Skills) Substitute teacher Computer lab assistant Medical aide Assistant Christian Education Director (Grades K–12), where I developed curriculum and trained parent volunteers Vacation Bible School teacher I currently teach reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and community circle, and I work closely with ENL students and students with IEPs and 504 plans. Why I Create These Resources I noticed that many students struggle at home because: Homework does not look or feel like classroom learning Families are unsure how to help Materials feel overwhelming or unfamiliar I also noticed that families want to help — they just need clear, simple, familiar tools. I hold both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Education and am a New York State certified teacher. My formal education focused on: Elementary education Literacy instruction Educational technology Differentiation for diverse learners I continue to learn through classroom experience, collaboration with colleagues, and ongoing professional development, especially in areas related to: Reading instruction ENL support Special education accommodations Student confidence and engagement My education and training guide the way I design lessons that are structured, accessible, and effective for a wide range of learners.
