Easter basket with writing. Students write number words one thru ten, water color the basket and paint the eggs. Students then can cut out the basket when it dries and attach it to the writing.
Fun with stickers! Have students color the numbers 1-6 on the worksheet and then match the correct amount of stickers to the correct number. Great for fine motor skills, number recognition and making sets!
President's Day Art and Writing Activity! The student's write their last name on the top line. Then fill in the blanks with the following words: White, America, red, white, blue. Great for writing practice and art too!
Read the story Snow Globe Family and then have students respond to this writing prompt. For art have the students paint snowballs with Q-tips around the plastic plate and on the construction paper. Then attach the writing response under the snow globe. Great to hang on a bulletin board or in the hallway!
This is a fun Math Art Center Activity to do with the book Chicka Chicka 123. Students can color the palm trees, write the numbers or use foam numbers/stickers to place above the trees. Then the students can fingerpaint the coconuts to match the numbers on the trees!
Sight Word Tree! Aligns with UFLI Lesson 5 and 6. Students color, cut and glue the apples. Then they can cut out the tree. It's a fun September activity!
Science-Day & Night Art Activity Sort! Have students fill out the writing part with Sight Words and then paint a paper plate or sheet of paper half blue and half black. Then have the students cut out the pictures and then glue on the correct time of day you would see those objects.
Shake Those Pom Poms! Use an egg carton write the #'s 0-5 in both rows of the egg carton out of order with a Sharpie marker. Place a small Pom Pom inside the carton. The students use a highlighter or a marker to trace the # the Pom Pom lands on. This could be copied front and back to get extra play during a center too!
Penguin Art and Poem! Fun to do during Centers or Stations in class! Students fill in the sight words and then can watercolor the penguin. Also, a small penguin to cut out and practice cutting skills, and glue on the poem.
Great for the first week of school! Read The Kissing Hand and then have the students express how they felt on their first day of school. You can paint their hands and then have them write their name and tell you they felt. Along with a coloring page of Chester the racoon, and the title of the book they can trace over for handwriting practice.
Kangaroo Art and Writing Activity. This is great for when you're celebrating the letter "Kk" or animals. It also aligns with UFLI Lessons 21 and 22, and reinforces Sight Words.
Bear Art Activity with a writing utilizing sight words. Great for creativity and writing practice! Perfect to do when celebrating the letter "Bb" or the week of doing UFLI Lesson 17 and 18.
Halloween Math number fun with stickers and dice. Have students roll the dice to find the number they need to write and match the set of stickers to on the paper.
