RICE Problem Solving Strategies for math word problems
RICE is a systematic strategy that students use daily or weekly to Retell word problems. Illustrate the problem using important numbers or items found within the problem. Calculate the word problem by creating an equation derived from their illustration. Explain how they arrived at their final answer. I have a sample posted for purchase of onen dollar.

I am the fifth child of twelve. I grew up on an island at the Mouth of the Mississippi River. I was attended a one room school that contained grades 1-8. I had a very unique childhood and love my job as an educator.
