About the store
I am currently teaching ELAR Resource - Special Education (k-6). I taught 2nd grade self-contained (general education) the last two years. I have been a Special Needs Teacher with background in Autism, Visually Impairment, Multiple Disabilities, Resource and Inclusion. I have taught K-5th grades in elementary and 6-8th grades in middle school. I've also taught general education 3rd grade. I have been a Reading Tutor (Richard's Read) and owned a day-care. If someone were to ask me what I like to teach, I would tell them that every time I teach, I end up having a passion for what I teach whether it be teaching students with Autism, Visual Impairment, or teaching Reading and Language Arts to Resource students.

Experience

Teaching style

I have experience in both special education (K-6) and general education (2,3). My teaching style depends on the student (differentiated teaching). I like to use multi-sensory tools and methods for my resource students and students who struggle with reading. For severe autism, I have made several interactive products that use VELCRO.

My own education history

Blinn College, Brenham, TX Associates Degree - Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, TX Bachelor of Science in Academic Studies with a specialization in English. Certified in Special Education EC-12 and EC-6th Elementary Education.
