Students fill out this T-chart while they are reading a historical fiction text to help them determine the time period. Students record the elements of historical fiction in one column and then in the second column that write down what they can infer from that element.

Students follow the steps to fill out a decimal place value table. After the chart is filled out, they pick a place on the chart and explain the relationship of that place compared to the place to its right and left.

This exit slip informs a teacher how well a student understand the material. It is best used before giving a unit test. The exit slip asks a student to check off whether they understand, don't understand, or need more practice with a variety of components that appear in the unit test on decimals and place value.
