About the store
This is my 4th year teaching students with special needs. I love my job! I work hard to support my students in a general education setting, by co-teaching with general education teachers. I also work with students in small groups during parts of the day to help with basic reading, writing, and math skills.

This is a new twist on the classic game, Go Fish. Students will love this activity because they get to play a game, all while practicing rhyming words. The cards come with pictures and labels. Younger students can begin matching words with pictures, while older students can look at word families.

This mini book template can be used to help students create mini, 7 page booklets. I use them to have students create letter mini-books. You could also have them available as a tool during Daily 5, for work on writing. Directions for assembling: Print 2-sided. Cut along the dotted line, then fold on the solid line. Match up the folds with page 3 on the inside, facing upward.

Note: The game boards were created for 11" X 17" paper. I printed mine on 11" X 17" paper and then laminated them for added durability.

About the store

Experience

This is my 4th year teaching students with special needs. I love my job! I work hard to support my students in a general education setting, by co-teaching with general education teachers. I attempt to teach using as many different teaching styles and methods as possible in order to reach the various needs of my students.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am honored to see the progress my students make each year. I feel like I receive an award each time a student masters a new concept.

My own education history

I received my Bachelor's degree from Hope College in Holland, MI with a major in Learning Disabilities. I am currently certified as Highly Qualified in the State of Michigan in Elementary Education and Special Education. I am also working on my Masters degree with a focus on Literacy.

I am married to a wonderful husband. We have a cute black lab named Lanie. No children, yet!
