After learning about VERBS, have your students conduct an activity with one another as they act out specific verbs. Students will act out a verb listed in the table and sign their name to the corresponding verb. This is a great way to get students out of their seat and allow them to act silly during class time. We all need a break dont we?! :-) Please LEAVE FEEDBACK!! Thank you!!

Teaching style

I like to motivate my students with their own areas of interest. I encourage my students to work together to meet a common goal while building their own self confidence and faith in one another. Enthusiasm is the key to a great lesson!

My own education history

I attended Georgia College and State University where I earned my BS degree in Early Childhood Education in 2009. Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I married a handsome man in the military and moved to New Orleans, LA. I taught first grade just outside of New Orleans and absolutely LOVED it! After a year of teaching, we were transferred to San Diego, CA where I was a Montessori teacher for three years. I completed my graduate degree in teaching with a concentration in Reading. We recently transferred to Charleston, SC. I will be teaching first grade again! How exciting! While working on my undergraduate degree I worked as a substitute teacher in grades Pre-K through 5. During my junior and senior year of college I completed observations and student teaching in a Pre-K Head Start Program, 3rd grade inclusion class, 5th grade class and a 1st grade class at a Magnet School geared in Science and Math. My senior year I completed a full year of student teaching in 1st grade at a Science/Math Magnet School completely taking over lessons and units throughout the year, conducting assessments, parent conferences, etc. Masters of Art in Teaching with a concentration in Reading 2012
