Amanda's classroom experience includes kindergarten (Her favorite!) and first grade (A close second!). Her years of learning and growing have continued as she digs into the Science of Reading research and strives to help teachers bring the research to their classroom while saving time to spend with those they love most! She has experience teaching mainstream and two-way dual language.
Amanda enjoys providing professional development on literacy, reading small groups, and integrating science. She creates engaging teaching resources and provides helpful teaching tips on her blog, Mrs. Richardson's Class. She has taught over 1,000 teachers how to make small groups possible in her online workshop, Rethinking Guided Reading. She also provides engaging, purposeful read aloud lessons in her membership, The Read Aloud Library.

Amanda's number one goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for her students. She enjoys creating activities that challenge her students and also help scaffold them as needed.
