I believe that students are responsible for their own learning, but I support them as much as I can. I try to promote critical thinkers who can articulate their thoughts and are willing to look beyond themselves for the answers to Life, the Universe, and Everything.

She has enviable classroom management skills and knows how to relate her lessons to her students. I have personally talked with some of her students and all say that they really learned how to write effectively and think critically about the world around them in her English classes," (Colleague). "I have thought more than once that I would have loved to have had her as my high school English teacher. Several times when I leave the building at the end of the day I have seen her working hard at her desk or talking with students who have come to her on their own time after school. She is well-liked by both teachers and students," (Colleague).
