This worksheet can be used to practice counting nickels and pennies. The math textbook series my first graders use combines nickels and pennies in the addition unit in conjunction with "count on" addition. I tried to use money in a variety of ways to engage students!

This worksheet builds understanding of angle types. Students must first look at the angle and identify it as acute, obtuse or right. They must then write what this means (less than 90 degrees, more than 90, or exactly 90). Students must then measure the angle using a protractor and identify if their measurement makes sense.

Practice reading numbers and determining place value. Also works to practice standard and expanded form. Aligned to 4th grade common core, but could easily be adapted to 2nd and 3rd grade as place value plays a role in both. Students love to play this game and are so excited to choose a "cheese" card or see who has to put all their cards back because of the pesky cat!

Piggy bank practice! Students can color coins and arrange an amount in their own piggy bank! End of a lesson assessment.

Students pick a number, write it in the box, and practice representing it in different ways (equations,drawings, etc). Good practice and could work for any grade level.
