About the store

Experience

I've been teaching high school math in New Jersey for the last 10 years. I teach Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 at all levels. I also recently started teaching Basic Programming in Visual Basic and C# and love it!

Teaching style

I am always looking for new ideas to keep my students motivated and engaged. I use technology, interactive lessons, alternative assessments, and interesting activities whenever I can. I try to use direct instruction as little as possible. When students are having fun, they actually tend to enjoy learning even the most boring topics! Even making the smallest tweaks to your lessons can make a world of a difference.

My own education history

I graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2005, majoring in Secondary Education and Mathematics. I received my Masters in Educational Technology and Leadership from Lamar University in 2012. I'm also planning to take courses to receive my Supervisor certification.

Additional biographical information

I have two boys, ages 5 and 3, and they have inspired me to become the type of teacher that I hope they are lucky enough to have when they grow older.
