I have taught Biology I, Honors Biology I, Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, Biology II, and AP Biology. Teaching style

I employ varying teaching strategies throughout the class to keep my students interested and engaged. My strength as a teacher, and my love, involves lab activities. I have my students in the lab at least twice a week, and more if possible. I strive for the "light bulb" moments when I am teaching and see that students are catching on to the concepts. The best return on this investment comes when graduated students return for a visit and tell me how much my class has helped them.

My own education history

My undergraduate degree is in Biology. I have a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist's Degree in Administration.

Additional biographical information

My classroom resources are the result of 31 years of experience in teaching Biology and Chemistry. My materials are standards-based and emphasize inquiry and critical thinking skills. I offer a wide variety of materials that are rock-solid in content, are visually attractive, and best of all, are ready to be copied and passed out to your students or, in most cases, presented to them in a digital format.
