I have been teaching in the Fontana Unified School District for 5 years with two years being laid off. I have enjoyed every minute and await the Common Core Changes.
My districts secondary math coach gave us to this and thought i would share it with everyone. Its a great project to have students do for unit rate. The boys can do baseball and the girls jewelery, if they want or they can do which ever.
this has a powerpoint and a word document that you can print. This project was created by my districts secondary math person so im sharing it. The students have a great time because its a project for the boys and the girls.
i created this foldable off another but this uses the problems from Holt Pre Algebra (green) book. it was easier to create one with problems from the book we use then to use problems they can't reference in the book. If your printer has the option to print on the short end (side) print that way. other wise you have to print them then flip the back page to get it to print correctly
i created this to use with my problems in my HOLT math book. the students like being able to reference back to the book if need be. feel free to change the problems to match your problems. Print front to back on the short end in printer properties and it should work.
This is the powerpoint that goes with the Baseballs and Bracelets pages that you can print out. Once i figure out how to link them i will in a bundle for less.
I created this foldable to use with my students over the 3 sections of inequalities. It is just a template. You fold down to the middle and then cut inbetween. Use your own problems and examples from you own text book. The students loved it.
