A self checking Power Point for end of year essential standards for 2nd grade math in California. Each slide gives students an amount of time to answer the question and then will give an answer. It will show the process of regrouping for both addition and subtraction which is good for students who need to learn regrouping by procedural methods. The questions are formatted from California State Test released questions and give 2nd graders a daily review of these questions.

A Power Point presentation that focuses on the Second Grade California Math Standard Number Sense 1.1 which is to "Count, read, and write whole numbers to 1,000 and identify the place value for each digit." In this Power Point, There are 19 questions that focus on the one standard and are worded like those in the released test questions for the state of California.

Students scan the room for words that have the descriptions shown. This can be used at home for practice or in a learning center. Students find words that are nouns, verbs, or that have certain spelling patterns such as "ow" or "oy". They also find abbreviations, math terms, and compound words.

A graphic organizer that uses one word per page and students look in depth at what the word means, its syllables, antonyms, synonyms, part of speech, prefixes, suffixes, and a picture of the word all on one page. Many standards are covered on this one page. It's good to collect them all year and make a "book" of words from the whole year.
