I made these vocabulary assessments to go along with the spelling lists that come from Saxon Phonics lists. My kids take the spelling test and then do a vocabulary test so that I can be sure that they know the meaning of the word and not only the spelling.
Each of the sheets can be projected on the board with an overhead and the kids an do it in their journals for morning work...or you can print them, or use them all to make a book for the kids. I used color so I could project them on board, but if you print them they'll just print grayscale, unless you have a color printer.
Sorting activity for complete and incomplete activities. You can print them and laminate them for a workstation or print them for each child to sort and glue on construction paper.
You can use these for a unit on baseball, or a unit on Jackie Robinson. there's a Jackie Robinson test included.
The Venn diagram is for comparing and contrasting Jackie Robinson with the Maya and Miguel video on United Streaming called "The Slump". They watch video and then do venn diagram.
Color the Easter basket. Cut out Easter eggs to place around the basket. Use the poster for the kids to put the Easter words in ABC order, and then fill out sheet using those same words and use them in sentences.
Write the 2 words that make a compound word, plus the compound word, and then use the compound word to write a story. Also, match the cupcakes together that will make a compound word and glue them on construction paper (or print and laminate for a center).
