I have taught each grade level in grade K-6 and have been an Early Childhood Facilitator as well. My last 9 years have been spent in the 6th grade classroom and this is where I truly love to be. I feel fortunate to work in a district where I can learn so much from a wide variety of wonderful teachers.

Experience

Teaching style
At this time, I am in a self-contained 6th grade classroom however I am fortunate to get to plan weekly with my teammates and we collaborate on our 6-grids and other lesson plans as to always be looking for ways to improve our methods and to help the amazing students we work with. I believe that with the guide-by-the-side approach, I can help students achieve the goals they set for themselves. I firmly believe in repetition and going deeper in everything I do. The gradual release model has served me well over the years and I think with this approach, students are ensured success.
