Experience

Hi, I’m Katie, a dedicated school counselor and educator passionate about helping kids build resilience, confidence, and healthy coping skills. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting students, families, and teachers through life’s challenges while also creating practical resources that make social-emotional learning (SEL) both effective and accessible.

Teaching style

I draw from a solution-focused, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), and trauma-informed counseling style. This means I create tools that don’t just “look nice” but actually work in real-life classrooms and counseling sessions, giving kids strategies they can use right away.

CREST Award–winning counseling program, recognized for excellence in student support and school counseling. Known by colleagues and students alike as the “best shoulder to cry on," a reflection of the empathy, compassion, and trust I bring to my work. When I’m not creating resources or supporting students, I’m a mom to a sweet little boy who reminds me daily of the importance of patience, balance, and joy in learning. My personal experiences with mental health also fuel my passion for creating tools that empower both kids and adults. My hope is that the resources in this store make your life easier as an educator, counselor, or parent, while also giving students the skills they need to thrive.
