This game is called 1521. It is a game played with anywhere from 2 to 6 players. 1521 works on a student's ability to add and subtract mentally. It is a fun game that I have used in my math club and all students enjoy it! You will need a deck of 52 cards to play it. An example of play is included in the directions. Have fun!
Happy Math is a customizable math matching game. Students take turns flipping over cards with problems on them. When three solutions are the same they slap their hand onto the three solutions cards! This game is called Happy Math because it makes you happy when you get the cards before your opponents.
Included are the rules, pre-made addition cards that acts as a template for you to customize.
This game can work in any math class of any age!
This game is called Dice Duel. Students begin play by rolling a dice and recording the number. The next student rolls the dice and the students have to decide whether to add, subtract, multiply, or divide the new number rolled by the previous number rolled. After they decide what to do they are given a new total. The next player rolls the dice and decides what computation to do to the previous total. Game continues until the students reach a number that the teacher gave before the game begins. I
