This is a graphic organizer or worksheet for dancers to fill out. It helps dancers fully plan a dance piece before starting choreography, and it helps teachers see the dancer's vision for their student choreography. This worksheet can be used in conjunction with my Google Slides Presentation "The Choreographic Process" or it can be used on it's own and incorporated into any choreography lesson.
I use this worksheet for student makeup work. Students take a class or learn a dance from youtube and fill out this reflection. This worksheet could easily be adapted to be a reflection for students to fill out at the end or after class.
This slide deck can be used for all levels of dance. It uses ballet and jazz dance terms, but could be quickly adapted for any genre. It teaches students all about levels. This is the first choreographic device in a series of presentations.
This document is a guided reflection for a choreography adventure that challenges students to dance in a small space. This document contains differentiation such as instructions in both English and Spanish, and a sample reflection.
This is an editable google slide that serves as a choreography activity. It connects to the 5 Elements of Dance and helps students learn to create a dance phrase (or sentence).
This worksheet guides students through an exploration of ballet history. It incorporates student choice, collaboration, and scaffolding. It is a great anticipatory set for a ballet unit or could be great to use on a non-dance day.
