My experience as an educator and child care specialist has always been and will be my greatest accomplishment. Teaching style

I take an authoritative approach—setting clear routines and expectations, while keeping the atmosphere warm and supportive. I guide kids to be confident learners, encouraging them to take charge of their own learning. My style weaves in Montessori methods: I arrange hands-on, child-sized materials and let children pick what sparks their curiosity, only stepping in to offer help when needed. I believe kids learn best when they feel safe to explore, yet understand the classroom boundaries. With this blend of structure, trust, and independence, I help students grow into capable, responsible, and joyful learners.

My own education history

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor’s in Human Development & Family Studies—plus a 200-hour practicum that dove deep into development, family systems, and child growth . For over eight years, I've joyfully engaged with children in classrooms, community programs, and one-on-one learning labs, bringing laughter, curiosity, and heart to every moment. I’m certified in CPR/First Aid, ensuring safe adventures as little learners explore big ideas. My mix of theory, hands-on magic, and ongoing professional growth means your kiddos aren’t just learning skills—they're stepping into a space filled with encouragement, wonder, and love. Join me on this joyful teaching journey! 😊

Additional biographical information

Growing up in Missouri, I was immersed in a community that valued education deeply. Both of my parents worked in education, which provided me with unique insights into the freedom and network that education offers. Their dedication to teaching and learning inspired me to pursue a career where I could make a meaningful impact on children's lives. I have always enjoyed the challenging curriculum that Missouri schools offer, which pushed me to excel and foster a love for learning. This foundation has shaped my approach as an educator, where I strive to create engaging and challenging learning experiences for my students, just as I experienced growing up.
