This worksheet is great for introducing the distributive property, sometimes called the break apart strategy for multiplication. The formatting can be tricky, so this worksheet allows students to fill in the blanks and get used to turning one problem into 2.

This is a great packet to use for 3rd - 5th graders who are choosing one of the 50 US states to research! This can be used independently or in small groups.

I have printed and used this for my 3rd graders and it has been WONDERFUL. They get much more use out of it and it is easier to spell when the word is right on their desk rather than on a classroom wall further away. These can be laminated so you can add more words in sharpie later and simply wipe away the end of the year.
