I have been teaching high school math and computer science for 23 years.
Teaching style
I love code.org's lessons for AP CSP and I follow their ideas and lesson plans. I appreciate how they embrace diversity and collaboration and they make the class environment full of applications, and, most of all, fun!
Awards & shining teacher moments
I won the College Board's "Female Diversity" award in 2022 for recruiting many girls to take the AP CSP exam.
My own education history
I earned both my B.S. in Mathematics and my M.S. in Secondary Education from Hofstra University. I earned 30 post-graduate credits in Administration/Supervision from Queens College. I have attended code.org's FREE workshops for both CSP and CSD and I highly recommend them to anyone teaching computer science.
I have served as an AP reader for 5 years: 4 online and 1 in person.
