Optimization is a tricky topic in calculus. This one-day activity allows students to discover how calculus can help them. Challenging practice problems that cover all of Unit 1 for AP Calculus. Students will evaluate limits, find and identify discontinuities, apply the Intermediate Value Theorem, etc. Practice test is 6 pages long; 20 questions. Full answer key is included.

A short but challenging review to wrap up Unit 2 in AP Calculus. Students will use all derivative rules except for chain rule, work with tangent and normal lines, locate and identify points of non-differentiability and make a piece-wise function differentiable.

A 16-question circuit of derivative practice. Students will use the product rule, quotient rule, chain rule and the derivative of sin, cos and tan. In order to get the answers to match, students will need to think back to PreCalc and use trigonometric identities to simplify. There are no derivatives of logarithms or exponential functions.
