I have always aided in K-12 classrooms – even while being a student in them – whether that be helping students learn in a way that works for them, scheduling, organizing, etc. Since then, I have been involved in various aspects of learning and education for several years such as providing coding and CAD camps, worksheet creating, Canvas course creation and aiding, calculator programming, presentations, and educational videos!

I always strive to find the midpoint between effectiveness and entertainment. Without silly acronyms, teachers who made learning fun, and mnemonics, I struggle remembering and conceptualizing! By making learning drab and boring, it can be viewed as a chore or a punishment. However, by making it fun and festive, students find grasping material to be awarding and an accomplishment, allowing them to view education in the positive light it deserves.

The biggest award you can get is watching you give someone their "a-ha!" moment, and the smile that follows once they realize they understand. :)

I'm a first-generation girl from Appalachia whose biggest inspiration is Barbie – cause who doesn't want to explore all careers while also being dressed in pink? If there is anything I found peace in from childhood to adulthood it is learning and academia. From being read Strawberry Shortcake books by my mom each night to coding and creating daily, it has always been what has kept me going. I hope to ignite the same fire I had while in school to other students globally, while making your classroom – or home – a fun place to learn, study, and grow!
