This project is a great introductory project to TinkerCad and goes through all the basics for students to practice and then use those skills to make a object of their own. Students start out learning what TinkerCad calls "starters" which go through the basic operations of the program and how to do things like combine shapes and move shapes around. This is a engaging and fun project that all students will love! It is great for the beginning of the year, end of the year or even a mid year break. In this project students use the Engineering Design Process to create the best and longest flying paper airplane possible. They research the elements of flight, practice their origami folding skills and then reflect on their experience and final product after testing.
