Experience

I have been a teacher for over 15 years in an urban school district. I have taught regular ed, and I currently teach special education. I have a master's degree in special education, and I work with fifth and sixth-grade students. I also teach second-grade in an after-school academic program and third and fourth grades in an after-school science STEM program. On most Saturdays, I teach STEM at a competitive level. Needless to say, my life is education.

Teaching style

I like a fun, hands-on approach to learning. My goal is to make learning accessible to all levels of students and to motivate them to want to learn. I am a silly jokester, and it comes through into my teaching style. The products I make tend to incorporate graphics that add humor or interest. I provide my own students with constant practice. I make sure my students get every opportunity to review so they don't lose what they've learned.

My own education history

I have a degree in psychology and another in education. I have a master's degree in special education.
