This severe weather project puts students into groups to research severe weather phenomena such as tornado, hurricane, and severe thunderstorms. After researching, the groups will put their information into book format. This rubric describes the requirements and provides a checklist for student use.

These teacher made booklets go along with the Literacy By Design Language Arts series. I felt that student's weren't given enough independent practice after whole group lesson and modeling. I created this for independent practice, it could be homework, remedial work, or group work. Skills include: inference, synthesizing, creating mental images, asking questions, adjectives, synonyms and antonyms, action and helping verbs. This revolutionary war test goes along with the "causes of the revolutionary war study guide" posted on TPT. This is an assessment that covers the reasons why the revolutionary war started. There are short answer and multiple choice types of questions.

This quiz covers the water cycle, cloud types (cirrus, cumulus, and stratus). This quiz includes diagrams, and questions that go along with the South Carolina 4th grade science standards.

This is very similar to the group project, where the groups researched tornadoes, hurricanes, or thunderstorms. This resource is an individual project where the student researches floods, blizzards, tsunamis, or any other type of severe weather. This resource includes a rubric/directions.

This is a study guide that goes along with the test "Causes of the Revolutionary Test." The study guide includes fill in the blank questions with a word bank, as well as short answer questions.
