This lesson plan gets students up and moving as they try to determine how many peas it will take to fill their classroom. It is a full lesson plan which includes guiding questions and a student response sheet. It is intended to encourage students to figure out the formula for volume of a rectangular prism through their own investigations. It could also be used as a center activity.
