Additional biographical information

Despite being the writer and illustrator of Arithmetic Village, I never really loved math, especially trigonometry, but that’s another story. My professional life includes over a decade of experience in child development centers in California where I was active in National Association for the Education of Young Children. I have worn the hats of a teacher, director, outreach coordinator and a staff / parent educator, but my favorite hat is that of a homeschool mom of three daughters (20, 19 and 6). I currently reside on a little island in New Zealand.
