Teaching style

I love to work with students of all abilities and personalities. I work with many students who have limited support in the home. I stay to work with them as long as it takes for them to "get it.' I believe every student has a strength, and I try my best to allow kids to discover their strengths to accommodate for weaknesses. I teach students in a clear and concise manner while allowing them to explore their personal beliefs and learn from one another. I believe in a strategy approach to reading and writing. Students should be provided with opportunities to gain meaning from texts through strong pre-reading, during reading, and post reading strategies. My lessons are visually appealing and designed for students with disabilities to be able to navigate through them with ease while also providing challenges intellectually. My pages are easily modified and adjusted to meet the needs of individual students, as I work in inclusive environments with both high-needs and advanced students.
