About the store
Developed the multi-grade level visual arts curriculum, teaching 160-180 students daily. Integrated classroom subject material into the art program. Collaborated weekly with general education staff. Participated in District Wide Art Scope and Sequence development for Visual Art. Developed the Battle Ground Public Schools Art S.H.A.R.E. (Studios Having Art Resource Equipment) program. Wrote foundation, regional, national and private grants to support the two Tukes Valley campus ceramics (clay) program and consumable classroom art supplies. Volunteered as the annual yearbook adviser for 2014. Sponsored after school intramural Art Club, Creative Journal Club, International Film Festival, Winter Color Guard and Comic Drawing program. Participated with district wide art instructors to provide networking and collaboration sessions. Integrated 21st century technology, C.O.W. (laptop computers on wheels), iPad, Mimio Teach, into the art curriculum. Developed summative and formative online art assessment on district wide computer based Skyward network. Adjusted curriculum to meet the needs of Special Education, A.D.H.D., Behavior Disorder and Emotionally Disturbed students.
