Hello! My name is Nicole. I am an artist and teacher who wants to help artists of all ages connect, engage and create. While the world shifts around us, we can remain kind, working to learn and share who we are through the arts. My shop is for you if. . . - You want to create and teach engaging art lessons but might not have the time or ability to create the things you imagine. - You want intentional, thought-provoking, magical art education resources that students of many ages can use. - You value community, self-expression and joy!

My teaching is engaging and purposeful. I am genuine and vulnerable with my students so that they feel comfortable doing so in return. My lessons are material focused. They are student-centered and playful. I guide my students to build fluency with a variety of materials and together we build a self-reflective learning environment in which to use that fluency. I encourage them to understand their authentic selves and reflect that in their making and learning. My classroom has labeled material centers and storage for self exploration and a large work area for collaboration. This organization helps to develop autonomy and confidence in the classroom environment. Art-making is a tool for understanding oneself and the world at large. I use it in different ways to guide my students as authentic individuals. I use art making to support my students in becoming the best human beings they can be.

When I'm not making art, I can be found playing in the park with my dog, reading, or hanging out in my garden. I am never without a sketchbook in hand; I'm doodling, writing, or collecting and glueing things from my day. Thanks for stopping by my shop!
