Teaching style

My teaching style blends vibrant visual images, hands-on activities, and engaging content to create immersive, meaningful learning experiences.

Awards & shining teacher moments

As the sole art teacher at a small rural school, I've proudly led our program to remarkable recognition. Our art program has earned the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) District of Distinction (DOD) award for two consecutive years—the only teacher at our school to achieve this honor. In my four years here, I've mentored 7 talented students to qualify for the state Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE), celebrating their dedication and growth. One standout student clinched the prestigious Congressional Art Competition award, while another soared to victory in spaceartcontest.com, an international competition that showcases innovative creativity on a global stage. These accomplishments reflect my commitment to nurturing young artists and elevating art education in underserved communities.

My own education history

Baylor University, Bellevue University, McClennan College, BS Degree in Marketing and Management with a Minor in Art. Certified ELAR 9-12 Certified in Art
