Early learners can start with an advantage if you use many techniques to improve their understanding and their confidence in what they are learning. Environmental Print activities are great to introduce things "they already know!" Hold up a Mc Donalds arch and most kids know that's Mc Donald's, you then instill this in them, you know why its called Mc Donald's? Because M says MMMMM and you knew this now you are beginning to read and this instills confidence and helps build more understanding of

Teaching style
I enjoy cute , and colorful artwork. I believe that some students will be more engaged when the work is exciting!
Awards & shining teacher moments
I have always loved art and teaching. I have received many awards over the years, but "That lightbulb moment " is more rewarding than any other award.
My own education history
I worked in the Virginia Preschool initiative , and Head Start For many years homeschooled for several years and for a few years I was teaching in Special Education. I also have Child Development Associates Degree.
