I love teaching space! There are so many great art projects you can do that teach space. This lesson talks about positive and negative space and touches on op art. It also includes lots of project ideas and a practice activity.
PPT starts by going through the 6 perspective techniques. I do a practice lesson over that. Then it covers the parts of a picture plane and then one and two point perspective. Four lessons in one power point.
Shows directional lines then lists the variations of lines. I use the variations and with class draw an example of the type of line and discuss the emotion or feeling that line provokes.
Use vanilla wafers, icing, food coloring (primary colors) and craft sticks (for mixing) to create the color wheel.
