This worksheet is to guide student-driven research about one of the following printmaking artists: M.C Escher, Margaret Preston, Andy Warhol and Hokusai. Students can work independently or in small groups to research and answer the questions and then choose one artwork by their artist to sketch and colour. This is part of a printmaking unit that I run with my Year 7 students.
This presentation is accompanied by a worksheet that is also available on my page in a bundle with this document. This presentation introduces students to the history of fruits in Visual Arts, discusses what makes a hybrid fruit, reviews definitions of key terms, and walks them through the first activity of drawing 4 existing fruits into their art books. This is part of an introduction to creating Hybrid Fruit Sculptures. Students can create sculptures using clay or bendable wire and paper mache
