Energy - types and transfers
This is a reading comprehension booklet about energy types and transfers, suitable for Key Stage 3 pupils. It informs about the types and transfers of energies, and the law of conservation of energy, before testing the pupils with a series of 10 multiple choice questions, followed by 5 short answer questions, an energy transfer diagram task, and finally a more extended writing task. I’ve run this with a lower ability year 9 (8th Grade) class and it took them around 45 minutes to complete, with a

My own education history
Following GCSE and A-levels in the UK, I completed a BSc Hons Degree in Biological Sciences, specializing in Pollution, Ecology, and Conservation, with an additional element in Field Biology. During my working life I have also achieved a qualification in ISO14001 environmental auditing before completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Education prior to my teaching career.
