Students will look at the story of Pompeii and observe what they notice in the video (video link included). Students will use their senses as well as write short pieces to demonstrate their knowledge and feelings as they participate in the activity.
This lesson allows students the opportunity to explore what it was like to live during the event and challenge themselves to think about what they would have done if they were alive during the event.
Purpose Statement: To find out how our senses
Students will observe the growth or change in a set object over 2 days. Students will record time of observation ( morning, afternoon, dismissal w/ times), width and length of the object as well as compare it to other object of similar size. Students will record written observations as well as draw what they see.
This allows you to work with a variety of different learning styles in a lab format.
