Students use this form to correct questions they missed on a test. They are required to explain why thy missed the problem and show how to get the correct answer.
This sheet asks students to explain the steps they would take to solve one-step equations (all four operations). I have used this as a pre-assessment for my students. By having them explain the steps they took to solve the problems, you can get a better idea of students' understanding of the concepts.
This file contains 50+ pages of excercies for students. I have used these as a cumulative review for students through out the year and before testing at the end of the year. Most of these problems are correlated with the 7th grade Mathematics Standard Course of Study.
This power point presentation has all the bells and whistles. It shows students how to solve one-step equations through addition and subtraction. Practice problems are included at the end.

This power point presentation has all the bells and whistles. It shows students how to solve one-step equations through multiplication and division. Practice problems are included at the end.
This is a project where students must create a board game. Players must use integer computations to play the game. This file also includes a rubric for grading the project.
This power point presentation has all the bells and whistles!! It shows students how to solve equations using the distibutive property and by combining like terms. Practice problems are included at the end.
FUN ACTIVITY!!! Students move around the room and get others to sign off on the boxes that they can solve. After everyone has each space signed, teacher calls out student names at random. Student must then solve the problem they said they could. If they solve it correctly, then students may place a bean or chip on that space. First student with 5 in a row or diagonal covered wins. There are several different variations that can be made to this game.
Worksheet to be used when teaching students the effects of changing dimensions on a plane or space shape's perimeter, area, surface area, and/or volume.
