Experience
I've had the privilege of teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts for the New York City Department of Education since December 2021.
Teaching style
As an educator, I find it important to prioritize the social and emotional development of each student to make sure that our learning space is one in which we all feel safe to make mistakes and learn together. A classroom filled with positive connections is a successful classroom that experiences a lot of growth!
Awards & shining teacher moments
Throughout my undergraduate program and the first semester of my graduate program, I've maintained a GPA higher than 3.5. Once I stepped into my career, I was rated "Effective" according to the Danielson Framework in my Annual Professional Performance Review for my first three years of teaching and was later rated "highly effective" in my fourth year.
