With this lab write-up students will use various tools that represent different bird beaks. These tools include tweezers, a slotted spoon, and pliers. Students must use these tools to crush and open various foods that the bird "beaks" are eating. Foods such as cereal, gummy worms, and sunflower seeds are used. This lab write up includes a materials list, questions, hypothesis, data, results, and a conclusion section. It is a VERY interactive science lab! Fun way to teach animal adaptations!
This is a 3rd/4th/5th grade rocks science lab! Students use bread, cheese, and small George Foreman grills or frying pans to create metamorphic, igneous, and sedimentary rocks! SUCH an awesome lab! Students LOVE it and it is a hit!
