This year I will be celebrating my 28th year as an educator. I have taught all subjects kindergarten through 5th grade. I worked as a math interventionist for four years before returning to my favorite role as a classroom teacher. My passion is creating lessons that encourage collaboration and increase student engagement.

Students will solve each problem and locate the matching answer. They will work through problems to complete the puzzle. This engaging math activity includes 1 adding and subtracting integers puzzle, 1 answer key and 1 complete lesson plan for the teacher or a substitute. The PUZZLE can be completed in with a small group, as a whole group lesson or as a partner assignment. Students will begin the lesson practicing the 4 types of problems they will encounter in the puzzle. Encourage students solve on paper and wait to glue the pieces until they are certain their answers are correct.
